Jan Merka

Professional Information

Jan Merka is employed as a research assistant at the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics of the Charles University, Prague. However, he is currently on leave because the National Research Council made a Research Associateship Award to him. Therefore, Jan Merka conducts research at the NASA Goddard + Space Flight Center in collaboration with Adam Szabo, who is his Research Adviser. The main areas of interest are the Earth's bow shock and magnetopause, and interplanetary shocks and discontinuities.
